As Christmas approaches, it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle of shopping, decorating, and planning. Yet, the heart of the season lies in celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ the ultimate gift of hope and salvation. In the midst of this celebration, we’re reminded of Mary, an ordinary young woman whose extraordinary faith and courage shaped history. In Luke 1:38, Mary humbly responds to the angel Gabriel’s life-altering message with, “I am the Lord’s servant. May everything you have said about me come true.” Though her world was turned upside down, Mary chose faith over fear, surrendering her plans to God’s greater purpose. Her story invites us to reflect on our own willingness to say “yes” to God, even when it feels overwhelming or inconvenient. Are we ready to set aside our doubts, trust His timing, and embrace His plans? Like Mary, we are called to be vessels for God’s purpose, stepping into a life of surrender and faith. This Christmas, let’s honor Jesus not only with joyful traditions but with hearts open to His call. Let’s remember that God’s plans are always for our good, even when they challenge us to step into the unknown. As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, may we echo Mary’s words, “I am the Lord’s servant,” and trust in His incredible plans for our lives.
