Receiving from the Throne of Grace.

Receiving from the Throne of Grace

“For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

— Hebrews 4:15–16 KJV

Dear friends, this is the invitation of a very loving and compassionate God. We do not have to cower in fear or uncertainty. We can come with bold assurance, knowing that He has the supply for our every need.

We have been given an invitation:

“To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.”

— Ephesians 1:6 KJV

There is mercy for us:

“It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.”

— Lamentations 3:22 KJV

And then there is grace:

“And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.”

— John 1:16 KJV

All these things are obtainable only in one place at the Throne of Grace, the Throne of God. Money cannot buy them. Power cannot command them. Status cannot influence them. Enchanters cannot conjure or duplicate them.

The Bible says:

“And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.”

— Isaiah 59:16 KJV

Without Christ, we are undeserving of any of these privileges coming boldly, receiving mercy, finding grace, and obtaining help in our time of need.

We were powerless and burdened by sin. But God, in His great love, purchased salvation for us through Jesus Christ.

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

— Acts 4:12 KJV

It is that simple. By receiving Jesus Christ into our lives, asking for forgiveness, and forsaking a life of sin, we gain access to the Throne of Grace.

The Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your love that has brought us out of darkness and into the Kingdom of Your dear Son, Jesus Christ. Lord, I pray that no one on this platform will miss the privilege of belonging to You. I pray that none of us will take Your mercy or grace for granted, but that in humility we will fully commit ourselves to the salvation that is found only in Christ Jesus. Teach us to come boldly before Your throne with confidence, knowing that You alone are our source of mercy, grace, help, and strength.

In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
