Finding the Way

Have you ever had that nagging feeling that you are on the wrong path? Sometimes we feel it and sometimes we don't - but either way, being lost has happened to all of us at one point or another, and it can seem overwhelming when you experience it. The most important way for life is the one God has set for us.

Romans 3:23 reminds us: "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." In the same way, Isaiah 53:6 says: " We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.” God made provision for our restoration long before we recognized our need to be restored.  His heart is full of mercy and compassion, and he desires to bring us back on the path he has prepared for us. He understands our constitution and limitations. In Christ Jesus, God makes the way plain before us.

Jesus explained this in John 14:6 when he said:
"I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”  When Jesus becomes the way of our race, we also obtain the truth that is so lacking in the world - and the truth that leads us to eternal life.

Do you feel as if your life is on the wrong path, and you are making a mistake? The good news is - you can change this. You don't have to continue down a path that makes you feel lost or unsure. Simply call on God in the name of Jesus; ask him to forgive you for choosing your way over Jesus, who is the way. Invite Jesus into your life and your situation. This step will lead you to the peace and path God has planned for you. Take that step today.
